Dana Airlines has grounded its aircraft, 5N BKI, following a runway skid incident at the domestic wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos. The mishap occurred due to the wet surface caused by early morning rainfall.
“Our crew handled the situation with utmost professionalism,” said Kingsley Ezenwa, Head of Corporate Communications at Dana Air. “All 83 passengers and crew disembarked safely without injuries or scare.”
The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has dispatched investigators to the scene. Dana Air has also informed relevant safety agencies and grounded the aircraft for further investigation.
“We wish to reassure our passengers that their safety will always be our top priority,” Ezenwa emphasized. “We are cooperating fully with authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
