As part of activities marking his one-hundred days in office, the Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a World Class Dialysis Centre at the General Amadi Rimi Orthopedic Hospital in Batagarawa area of the State capital.
The Commissioner of Health, Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, while explaining the nature of the project to newsmen, said that the Dialysis Centre, when completed, will be one of the best in Northern Nigeria.
According to Saulawa, a similar health facility would also be established in Funtua to carter for patients who need dialysis services.
“For a long time, and before now, our dear State had only four dialysis machines at the Katsina General Hospital.
“By the time the two new Dialysis Centres are completed, we would be having 16 dialysis machines,” he said.
