Renowned Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has candidly spoken about the dissolution of her third marriage. The 45-year-old actress, who tied the knot with filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan in 2011 after two previous marriages, revealed the details during a podcast with comedian Teju Baby Face.

Contrary to the controversies surrounding her marriage, Stella finally cleared the air about her relationship status, stating that she has been divorced for three years and is currently single. The Edo-State-born actress shared an intriguing account of how she discovered her marriage had ended.

Recounting the unexpected news, she said, “The man in question traveled; he was supposed to be away for a while and then come back.” To her surprise, she found out through notifications and phone calls from friends, who were concerned about her well-being after rumors circulated about the marriage. It wasn’t until later, upon checking YouTube, that Stella confirmed her divorce.

Despite the social media presence being kept low, Stella remained unaware of the situation until she received a call from her ex-husband, who confirmed that he would not be returning from his trip, signifying the end of their marriage.

Previously, Stella had been married to Jaiye Adoderin in 1999, resulting in two daughters. After Jaiye Adoderin’s unfortunate passing in 2003, Stella remarried Emeka Nzeribe in 2007, a marriage that lasted only seven months amid controversies.

In 2014, Stella revealed her marriage to Nollywood director and producer Daniel Ademinokan, whom she had met on set. They had married privately in 2011, but the relationship remained hidden due to Ademinokan’s purported previous marriage to another Nollywood actress, Doris Simeon.

Despite the past complexities, Stella shared that she and Doris, her ex-husband’s former wife, are now friends. The recent video of Daniel Ademinokan’s wedding to his new partner, Tope, in Houston, Texas, indicates his newfound happiness after the end of his marriage with Stella Damasus.
