Nigerian Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Tems both bagged award wins in different categories at the 2023 BET Awards held on July 25, 2023.

Burna Boy won the Best International Act category, taking his total number of wins in that category to four in said category (insert the years he won).

“Damages” singer Tems, bagged a win in the “Best Collaboration” category for her contribution on the Grammy award-winning song, “Wait For U” with Future and Drake. This would be Tems’ second consecutive BET Awards win after she clinched an award in Best International Act” category in 2023.

The event also featured electrifying performances from Nigerian music star Davido and Cameroonian-American singer Libianca who won the “Best International New Act”award.
