Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, recently visited the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College in Ilorin, commending the outstanding achievements of students in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
During his visit, Governor Abdulrazaq congratulated 35 students who scored impressively between 300 and 355 in the national examination. In a video shared on social media by the state government, he praised the institution for its consistent dedication to nurturing academic excellence among its students.
The governor emphasized the pivotal role of quality education in elevating educational standards in the state and expressed pride in the school’s contribution to this endeavor, stating, “The feats, along with other successes of the state, sum up the emergence of Kwara on the national stage as a go-to state for quality education.”
He lauded the exceptional results of public school students, highlighting their remarkable performances as a testament to Kwara’s emergence as a hub for quality education on the national stage. Governor Abdulrazaq added, “He commended the school for making the state proud with the excellent results in the national examination. The governor also acknowledged the great strides of some public school students who posted superlative performances in the examination.”
Previously reported by PUNCH Online, the school confirmed 30 students scoring between 300 and 355 out of over 8,000 nationwide achievers. Notably, Fasesin Ayomiposi and Kunle-Olawepo Ayomikun emerged as the highest scorers with 355 points, followed by other top performers like Adelodun Oluwadarasimi, Ayejuto Daniel, and Idris Jamaaldeen.
