Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian recently hosted a heartwarming birthday celebration for her ex, Tristan Thompson’s younger brother, Amari Thompson. The touching event was shared on Khloe’s Instagram Stories on July 27, where she posted a photo of large silver balloons spelling out “Happy Birthday Amari.”
In a series of Instagram posts, Khloe offered a glimpse into the festivities. One of the pictures featured a selfie of Khloe with Amari, who was dressed in a casual off-white outfit to mark his 17th birthday. Another post that included Khloe’s mom, Kris Jenner, her 5-year-old daughter, True Thompson (whom she shares with Tristan), and her 6-year-old niece, Dream Kardashian (Rob Kardashian’s daughter with Blac Chyna). Unfortunately, Tristan Thompson, 32, was not pictured.
Captioning the images, Khloe wrote, “Someone is 17 today!!!! Happy birthday sweet sweet Amari!!! We are all so blessed to have been touched by an angel such as you. You are truly one of God’s greatest treasures.”
It’s not just Khloe celebrating Amari’s special day. Sister Kim Kardashian and friend Khadijah Haqq McCray both joined in the well-wishes, leaving comments on Khloe’s post, saying “Happy Birthday Amari.”
The birthday celebrations took place shortly after Khloe opened up on the July 27 episodes of “The Kardashians” about Tristan and Amari moving in with her following the tragic passing of their mother, Andrea, in January.
Reflecting on the situation, Khloe expressed her gratitude for being able to be a pillar of support for Amari during this difficult time, even though her relationship with Tristan has had its ups and downs. “I’m grateful that I’m strong enough and brave enough to be a support system for someone else that has no other support system right now,” she shared. “You don’t have to treat me right for me to treat you right—it’s not the way I was raised.”
Amari, who lives with epilepsy and is now 17, faced further challenges when Tristan’s California home suffered severe damage due to extreme rains, leading to the roof caving in. In light of this situation, Khloe stepped in to provide a temporary home for Tristan and Amari.
“Tristan and Amari are staying at my house right now until his home gets fixed,” Khloe explained.
Despite the complexities of her relationship with Tristan, Khloe emphasized that family comes first, especially during tough times. “I just think this is what family does when s–t hits the fan,” she added. “All you have is your family. And Tristan and I are family, and we’re gonna be family for the rest of our lives.”
The heartfelt birthday party and Khloe’s unwavering support demonstrate the close bond the Kardashian family shares, especially during times of adversity. Bless her heart! Khloe is indeed very kind and compassionate.
