In a significant development during the ongoing civil trial, Judge Arthur Engoron has issued a decisive order aimed at ensuring that former President Donald Trump, along with his adult sons and the Trump Organization, do not evade penalties for their involvement in fraud in New York. The trial revolves around determining the penalties they must pay after being found liable for fraudulent activities.

On the fourth day of the trial, Judge Engoron issued a ruling to enforce his order regarding the dissolution of Trump’s New York businesses, as reported by the Daily Beast. The order instructs Trump’s legal team and New York Attorney General Letitia James to submit recommendations for the appointment of an independent receiver who will oversee the closure of the Trump family’s New York businesses by October 26.

Furthermore, the order mandates that Trump, his adult sons, and two high-ranking executives at the Trump Organization must inform the court of any new business entities created and asset transfers. This move aims to prevent any secret transactions that could potentially circumvent the court’s punishment.

It’s worth noting that Trump has already filed an appeal challenging Judge Engoron’s decision, which, if upheld, would severely limit his ability to conduct business in New York. Judge Engoron’s ruling is a significant step in preempting any attempts by Trump and his associates to avoid the consequences of the fraud allegations that have spanned several years.
