Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was rushed to a Tel Aviv hospital on Saturday after fainting at his home, according to multiple reports.

The 73-year-old conservative leader, who holds the record for being Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, is reported to be in “good condition” as he undergoes a series of tests, as stated by his office. Sources at Sheba Medical Center revealed that Netanyahu had fainted at his home in Cesarea and hit his head after experiencing chest pain.

Upon arrival at the emergency room, Netanyahu was fully conscious. However, doctors will conduct a brain scan and assess his heart rhythm to determine if further injury has occurred.

Netanyahu’s son, Avner, accompanied him to the hospital, and his wife, Sara, is expected to join them there.

In a show of support, opposition leader Yair Lapid swiftly took to Twitter, offering wishes for Netanyahu’s full recovery and good health in Hebrew. “Feel better,” he added.

Netanyahu has served multiple terms as prime minister, amassing a total of 15 years in office. In December, he regained power by forming a right-wing government with support from religious and nationalist political parties in the Knesset, only 18 months after being ousted.

However, President Biden has maintained a noticeable distance from Netanyahu, who was a close ally of former President Trump. Despite receiving a state visit invitation from China’s Xi Jinping last month, Netanyahu has not been invited to the White House by the current U.S. president.
