Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) Validates Authenticity of Dollar Videos Involving Former Governor Ganduje
In a significant development regarding the investigation into former governor Umar Ganduje, the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has revealed new findings. The commission has confirmed that the controversial dollar videos involving ex-Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje were found to be unaltered after forensic analysis.
Back in 2017, an online publication called Daily Nigerian released several videos allegedly showing Ganduje receiving kickbacks from contractors. These videos sparked widespread public interest and controversy.
During the recent ‘A One Day Public Dialogue on Anti-Corruption Crusade in Kano,’ Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, the Chairman of the PCACC, addressed the authenticity of the videos. Rimingado confirmed the veracity of the footage, acknowledging that since their release, there had been demands for proof regarding the innocence or guilt of the former governor.
He further explained that the commission initiated an investigation in 2018; however, progress was impeded by Ganduje’s immunity as governor at the time.
Further details on this developing story will be provided in due course.
