Senator Remi Tinubu, the First Lady of the President, has extended her support to the victims of the flood incident that devastated the TradeMore Estate in Lugbe, Abuja. Through the Renewed Hope Initiative, she donated the sum of N14.3 million to assist the 57 households affected by the calamity. The First Lady’s contribution aims to alleviate the damage and hardship experienced by the victims during this unfortunate event.
Hajiya Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President of the Federation, represented Senator Remi Tinubu during the donation. She conveyed the First Lady’s sympathies to the affected individuals and emphasized that while there is no guarantee that such incidents won’t recur, she hoped the outreach and intervention of the Renewed Hope Initiative would significantly reduce the victims’ suffering at this time.
Despite the Renewed Hope Initiative still being in the process of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Senator Remi Tinubu felt compelled to offer support, particularly because the TradeMore Estate falls within her purview.
Dr. Adewale Adenike, Chairman of the Resident Association, expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries for the kindness and support shown by the First Lady and the Renewed Hope Initiative during these challenging times.
Each affected household received a monetary support of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N250,000.00). A total of 57 households benefited from this outreach by the Renewed Hope Initiative.
