Islamic Jihad Group Denies Responsibility for Hospital Blast

In the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group has strongly denied any involvement in the tragic blast at Al-Ahli hospital, despite Israel’s claims. The group has accused Israel of attempting to evade responsibility for the incident, describing it as a “brutal massacre.”

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad emphasized that these accusations are baseless, affirming that they do not use places of worship or public facilities, especially hospitals, as military centers or weapons storage.

The group pointed to details such as the angle of the bomb’s fall and the extent of destruction as evidence that the incident bore similarities to Israeli airstrikes. The Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, also dismissed Israel’s claims, labeling them as “lies.”

4-Way Summit with Biden and Leaders Canceled

In light of the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas, Jordan has made the decision to cancel the planned four-way summit with U.S. President Joe Biden and other leaders. Ayman Safadi, Jordan’s Foreign Minister, announced the postponement of the summit, citing the dangerous situation in the region.

President Biden had intended to use the summit to discuss the recent Hamas militant attack on Israel that occurred on October 7th, involving the United States’ Arab allies and the Palestinian Authority, which has limited autonomy in parts of the occupied West Bank. Following his visit to Israel, the President was scheduled to travel to Amman for this important meeting.

Israel Denies Involvement in Hospital Bombing in Gaza City

The Israeli military has officially denied any involvement in the tragic explosion that took the lives of hundreds of people at a Gaza City hospital. They assert that the blast was caused by a misfired Palestinian rocket. The Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza, on the other hand, maintains that the explosion resulted from an Israeli airstrike, with the victims seeking shelter from the ongoing Israeli offensive.

Israel’s military contends that Palestinian militants launched a barrage of rockets near the hospital, and they cite intelligence from multiple sources indicating that the Islamic Jihad group is responsible for the failed rocket launch. The situation remains complex and subject to ongoing investigations.
