Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has candidly shared his experience of having only the clothes and shoes he carried during a vacation as his current wardrobe. The news of his significant loss due to a fire incident at his Lagos residence is no longer fresh.
Since the incident, AY and his family have relocated to the United States, where they’ve been residing. The comedian recently expressed his frustration on a microblogging platform, reflecting on his current circumstances.
Despite the adversity he faced, AY remains resolute in his determination to use these challenges as a foundation to rebuild his life. He views this difficult period as a stepping stone toward achieving greatness, emphasizing that there’s no such thing as starting over completely.
He remains confident in his faith, expressing belief that God will not abandon him and that he will emerge from this situation even stronger.
In his own words, AY stated, “It feels weird to realize that the only clothes, shoes, and jewelry I have right now are the ones I traveled with. There is no such thing as going back to square one. We shall rebuild our lives as a stepping stone to greatness. God, no go shame us.”
