Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie have announced their separation after an 18-year marriage.

In an official statement on Wednesday, Trudeau’s office confirmed that the couple has taken all necessary legal and ethical measures concerning their decision to separate.

The couple, who tied the knot in late May 2005 and have three children together, emphasized their commitment to maintaining a close-knit family.

Sophie and the Prime Minister are dedicated to raising their children in a secure, affectionate, and cooperative setting. They are set to spend quality time together during an upcoming vacation, starting next week.
