The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed the appointment of Abdullahi Ganduje, the former Governor of Kano, as the National Chairman of the party during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Friday. Additionally, Senator Basiru Ajibola has been named as the new National Secretary.

This development coincides with the ongoing screening of ministerial nominees by the 10th Senate. The total number of nominees awaiting Senate confirmation now stands at 47, following the arrival of the second batch of nominees.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced that the screening for the second batch will commence this Friday, while new nominees have until Thursday to finalize their documentation.
