The Ajimobi family has been thrown into mourning following the passing of Bisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of the late former Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. She passed away at the age of 42 in the early hours of Thursday, March 27, in the United Kingdom.
Until her death, Bisola served as the Special Adviser to Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu. She was also an entrepreneur, known for her contributions to the business sector as the owner of the luxury store, Florence H Boutique.
Her death was confirmed by Bolaji Tunji, a former aide to her late father, who simply stated, “Yes, it has been confirmed.”
Bisola was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi, with whom she shared three children. She was widely respected for her role in governance and public service, as well as her active involvement in her family’s business interests.
Reports indicate that she had been battling cancer, though the exact details surrounding her passing remain unclear. Her death comes as another painful blow to the Ajimobi family, following the loss of her father in June 2020 at the age of 70.
The news of her demise has sent shockwaves through Nigeria’s political and social circles, as tributes pour in from colleagues, friends, and well-wishers who remember her contributions to public service and business.
