Saudi Arabia Pro League team Al Hilal has reportedly made a substantial offer of €140 million, equivalent to approximately N120 billion, to Napoli in their bid to sign highly-rated Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, according to reliable sources at Peoples Gazette.
Sky Sports has disclosed that Al Hilal, who recently made headlines with a record-breaking €300 million bid for Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, is currently engaged in discussions with Napoli regarding a possible transfer deal for the talented player.
Nevertheless, Napoli is holding firm on their asking price, seeking a minimum of €150 million for the highly-rated striker’s services. On the player’s side, Al Hilal is prepared to entice Victor Osimhen with a substantial weekly wage of €1 million, which roughly amounts to N850 million, to lure him to the Middle East.
Last month, negotiations between Napoli and the 24-year-old forward fell through when they failed to agree on a new two-year contract extension.
The club’s proposal included a €200 million release clause, but Osimhen has expressed his willingness to sign the extension only if the release clause is set at €150 million.
As of now, there have been no indications from Victor Osimhen’s camp regarding his openness to consider the “attractive” offer from the Saudi Pro League. The league has seen several prominent European players make moves during the ongoing transfer window.
