Federal government and organized labor have resumed talks on finding solutions to the challenges following fuel subsidy removal at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting, known as The Presidential Steering Committee on Palliatives, includes representatives from the federal government and organized labor, represented by Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC). Previously, the organized labor walked out of a meeting last Friday, citing the absence of top government officials absence of top government officials for negotiation.

The meeting aims to discuss proposals for mass transit, CNG, and cash transfer to mitigate the impact of subsidy removal.

Key government representatives present include Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Olu Verheijen, Kachollom Daju, Mele Kyari, and others, while the organized labor delegation includes Joe Ajaero, Festus Osifo, Emma Ugbaja, Nuhu Toro, and Prof. Sam Amadi.
