EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

Uwujaren, in response to the report titled “Alleged N70bn Fraud: EFCC Declares Ex-Zamfara Gov. Matawalle Wanted,” said the report is incorrect without prejudice to the case involving the former governor.

According to him, the commission has yet to declare Matawalle wanted or solicit the assistance of any agency, including the Department of State Service (DSS), to effect his arrest.

He also noted that the anti-graft agency has a standard procedure for declaring individuals wanted and communicating the same to the public, not through faceless “security sources”.
