The NFL offseason has featured plenty of storylines both on and off the field. On Tuesday night, another off-field situation entered the spotlight, this time involving Josh Jacobs and the Green Bay Packers.
According to multiple reports, Jacobs was arrested by the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department in Wisconsin. The investigation stems from a complaint filed on May 23. Authorities continue to investigate the allegations tied to the complaint.

Few details have emerged beyond confirmation that authorities booked Jacobs as of Tuesday morning. Neither the Packers nor the NFL has released a statement regarding the arrest or ongoing investigation.
Jacobs enters his third season with Green Bay after signing with the franchise as a free agent in 2024. During a standout 2024 campaign, he rushed for 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl honors.

However, his production dipped slightly in 2025. Jacobs still recorded 13 rushing touchdowns, but his rushing total fell to 929 yards. Even so, the Packers continue to value his impact and remain committed to maintaining a strong ground game.

Before joining Green Bay, the Las Vegas Raiders selected Jacobs with the 24th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Across five seasons with the Raiders, he totaled 5,545 rushing yards and 46 touchdowns.
Jacobs earned his lone All-Pro selection in 2022 after leading the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards. He also added 12 touchdowns and 93 first downs that season while securing the second of his three career Pro Bowl selections.
Jacobs’ legal team has denied the allegations against him. It remains unclear whether authorities released him on bond or if he remains in custody.
