Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein of s*xual abuse, has revealed that she is in critical condition following a severe car accident. In an emotional Instagram post, Giuffre shared a photo from her hospital bed, stating that doctors have given her just four days to live due to kidney failure caused by the crash.
“This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details,” she wrote. “But I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn, that no matter what your car is made of, it might as well be a tin can.”
She went on to explain that she has gone into kidney failure and is being transferred to a specialist hospital for urology treatment. Expressing her deep despair, Giuffre added, “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes.”
Giuffre’s name became widely known after she accused Jeffrey Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, of grooming her for abuse. In a 2021 civil suit, she alleged that Epstein forced her into s*xual encounters with Prince Andrew when she was 17 years old. The Duke of York has denied all allegations. The case was settled in 2022 for an undisclosed amount, and shortly after, Buckingham Palace stripped Prince Andrew of his military roles and HRH title.
Giuffre had previously settled a separate case against Epstein in 2009 for $500,000, which included an agreement not to pursue legal action against individuals associated with the disgraced financier. However, this did not prevent her from filing her lawsuit against Prince Andrew, which ultimately led to the settlement.
