Influencer couple Jessi Pasini and Alessio Pasini are shedding some light on why they’ve kept their newborn son, Lorenzo, off social media following his premature birth last month.
“Well Lorenzo, right now, is in the NICU,” Alessio, 39, told his and Jessi’s Instagram followers, noting in a Friday, March 6, video that their son is currently in intensive care.
The new dad confessed, “So for us, it’s not nice to show Lorenzo in this stage.”
Jessi, 35, added that Lorenzo is “hooked up to wires and the breathing machines” after being born at 26 weeks.

The couple noted that as their son continues his fight to come home healthy, they have decided “not to show” him in photos.
“One day, we might to show you Lorenzo,” Alessio said in broken English, as Italian is his first language.
Alessio assured the pair’s followers that their little one is “cute” but fans needed to have “a little bit of patience” before he is featured on their pages.

“When Lorenzo’s gonna to be strong and everything, he’s gonna to appear and then show [off] his beauty,” Alessio concluded.
After Alessio, from the small Italian village of Cavasso Nuovo, and Jessi, who was born and raised in Nashville, fell in love, they began documenting their lives together — much of which revolved around cooking and mastering true Italian dishes.
The couple, who tied the knot in March 2019, amassed a following on social media while detailing how to find good Italian ingredients in everyday grocery stores and making recipes together.

The pair went on to write a cookbook, From Italy with Amore, which is available for pre-order. They also share videos comparing Americans to Italians and how they live life, including differences in schools, how they travel, speak, etc.
Jessi and Alessio’s followers have also been there throughout their six-year fertility journey. The duo announced in September 2025 that they were expecting their first baby.
Two months later, they revealed that they were having a little boy by building an arch full of blue and white flowers. “🩵🩵🩵Still can’t believe miracle baby boy is on the way!” Jessi and Alessio wrote via a joint Instagram post in November 2025.

In January, Jessi was hospitalized and told her followers that she would remain under doctor supervision at the hospital until she delivered the baby. (She was diagnosed with complete placenta previa, which is a high-risk pregnancy condition where the placenta covers the cervical opening.)
Lorenzo was born on February 5, after making it to the 26 weeks and five days mark.
“I wanted to just tell you that my mom is doing good. She is recovering fast from her surgery, which all went very well. Her doctors did an amazing job and the plan they had made worked perfectly,” Alessio wrote via Instagram two days after his son’s arrival, from the perspective of the newborn. “I’m also doing really good. When I was born I made a big roar coming into the world so every doctor could hear how strong my lungs are. They told me I’m gonna stay here for a while before I can go home with my mom and dad and that stinks but for now I will just keep growing bigger and stronger.”
The family of three have kept their fans updated on their progress, noting that on Saturday, March 7 — just about one month after Lorenzo’s birth — he hit the 31 week mark, which means they are closer to being able to take him home.
