Nicola Peltz Beckham is looking forward — not back — amid her husband Brooklyn Beckham’s ongoing family drama.
While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, March 5, Nicola, 31, was asked how she’s “navigated” the attention on the familial estrangement.
“I’ve been editing my next film [Prima] for the past two and a half weeks. So honestly, I’ve been in the editing room,” Nicola told the outlet. “We haven’t had weekends. We’ve just been trying to make a deadline [for submission to Cannes].”
She continued, “It’s been so amazing to just put my focus on that and be creative. It’s been really fun doing that, and I’m really excited for it to come out.”

Nicola costars in Prima, a ballet drama, opposite Faye Dunaway, Jack Huston and Mira Sorvino, which was directed by The Morelli Brothers. The Bates Motel alum is also producing the upcoming flick.
“Acting is definitely my first passion,” Nicola gushed to THR of choosing her favorite hobbies between performing and directing. “I’ve been in love with it since I was 11, but I really love being a part of storytelling in every way, and I love being a part of the process of creating it before an actor comes on. Hopefully I’m lucky enough to be a part of that process more.”
As for her personal life, Nicola married Brooklyn, 27, in 2022 that soon sparked a rift with his famous family. (Brooklyn is the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, who share Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.)
“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped,” Brooklyn alleged in a January social media statement, stating that he does “not want to reconcile” with his relatives. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
He continued, “[I] have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”

David, 50, and Victoria, 51, have not publicly addressed their firstborn’s accusations. Us Weekly reached out to reps for the couple for comment at the time.
The retired soccer icon and the fashion designer, who have been married since 1999, also made sure to honor Brooklyn’s 27th birthday earlier this week.
“Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn. I love you so much,” Victoria wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, March 4.
David, for his part, shared via his page, “Happy Birthday Bust. Love you x,” referring to the father-son pair’s “Buster” nickname.

Brooklyn did not publicly acknowledge his parents’ messages.
“Brooklyn ignored David’s attempt at getting his attention with that birthday post,” a source exclusively told Us. “He thinks it’s just another way for them to save face with the public and that it did not feel meaningful.”
Instead, Brooklyn rang in his birthday with Nicola.
“He had a lovely day celebrating with Nicola, and she made him feel special,” the insider added to Us. “He is not letting any of the nonsense bother him.”
