Liam Neeson has nothing but fond memories of his late wife, Natasha Richardson, 16 years after her tragic death.
“It was great doing it every night with her and falling in love,” Neeson, 73, told The New York Times in a profile published on Thursday, July 31.
Neeson met Richardson when they costarred in the 1993 stage revival of Agatha Christie on Broadway in New York City.
Neeson and Richardson were married for 15 years, going on to welcome sons Michael and Daniel before the late actress died in 2009 at the age of 45. Richardson had suffered a traumatic brain injury from a skiing accident.
Liam Neeson’s Sweetest Quotes About His Late Wife Natasha Richardson
While speaking with The Times, Neeson recalled one of his favorite memories with Richardson. The outlet reported that the Naked Gun star discussed Richardson climbing up the stairs of their house on a Sunday morning, holding a tray and “carrying tea and a bran muffin” to let him know that his 2008 movie Taken was a box office success.
“I was a tiny bit embarrassed,” he recalled of the action franchise. “Don’t get me wrong, I did love the script. But, I can’t tell you how many voicemails [of the Taken speech] I’ve recorded for my sons’ friends.”
In the years since Richardson’s death, Neeson often stayed single. While filming The Naked Gun, Neeson eventually sparked a romance with costar Pamela Anderson.
“Pamela and Liam are dating,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly, adding that the two actors “always had chemistry while they were filming and their friendship naturally developed into more.”
The insider added, “They are both shy and have tried to stay private, but the spark between them is obvious.”

According to the source, Anderson’s two sons — Brandon and Dylan, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee — are also on board with the new couple.
“[Brandon and Dylan] love seeing her happy and fully approve,” the insider told Us. “[They] think Liam is great and have gotten to know him better in the last few months.”
Anderson, 58, also praised Neeson’s “charisma” in The Times interview.
“He has so much charm and so much charisma that you, kind of, just fall into it,” Anderson said. “I can’t explain it because I’ve never experienced it before. To do comedy, it gives you a lot of energy when you’re in something so joyful and silly. Liam has done over 100 movies, and I hope he’s inspired to do even more.”
