Attendees of the recent rally for former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, claim that the suspected shooter was positioned on top of a building near the event and was killed by a Secret Service sniper team. These reports are currently unconfirmed, but new video footage has emerged showing a body on top of a nearby structure.

The rally, which was marred by gunfire resulting in the deaths of the suspected shooter and at least one attendee, saw a rapid response from law enforcement and Secret Service agents. Attendees reported hearing shots during Trump’s speech, prompting a swift and coordinated security reaction.

A video circulating on social media appears to show a body on top of a building adjacent to the rally site, suggesting the suspected shooter may have been taken down by a Secret Service sniper. Additionally, witnesses at the event reported seeing another body being carried out from behind Trump’s podium, adding to the confusion and speculation surrounding the incident.

The former president’s campaign has confirmed that Trump is safe and being checked out at a local medical facility. Trump’s spokesman Steven Cheung expressed the former president’s gratitude for the quick actions of law enforcement and first responders. “President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act,” Cheung said.

Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger confirmed in a phone interview that the suspected gunman was dead and that at least one rally attendee was killed. The Secret Service issued a statement ensuring the former president’s safety.

President Joe Biden was briefed on the incident and received updates from high-ranking officials, including Kimberly Cheatle, Director of the United States Secret Service, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and Homeland Security Adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with authorities working to confirm the details of the suspected shooter’s actions and the response by security personnel. As the situation develops, the nation remains focused on the safety and security of its political events and leaders.
