The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has refuted claims circulating about an alleged proposal by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, suggesting a new minimum wage of N105,000 for Nigerian workers.

Onanuga took to his X platform to clarify the misinformation, stating unequivocally that no such proposal has been put forward by Edun. He emphasized that the story being disseminated is both false and misleading.

In his post, Onanuga wrote: “The Honorable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, has not proposed a N105,000 minimum wage. The contrary story being disseminated is false.”
