In a shocking turn of events, a war of words has erupted between a pastor and the family of his late wife, Mica Miller, following her tragic death. The pastor, whose identity remains undisclosed, stunned his congregation at the Solid Rock at Market Common church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as he announced Miller’s passing in a bizarre video that has since circulated online.
Miller, a 30-year-old woman, was found with a fatal gunshot wound on April 27 in Lumber River State Park, North Carolina. Her pastor husband made the grim announcement to his congregation the following day, revealing that Miller’s death was “self-induced” and urging attendees not to discuss the matter further within the church.
The pastor, addressing his congregation, stated, “You all know she wasn’t well mentally and that she needed her medicine and it was hard to get to her,” before abruptly ending the service. He later penned an obituary describing his late wife as “a great stepmother, and an amazing wife and helpmate,” portraying her as his biggest supporter.
However, questions surrounding Miller’s death have left friends and family seeking answers. Kenn Young, a friend of Miller, expressed the need for a deeper investigation, stating, “There’s got to be some accountability here. Because yeah, a tragic life was lost, and it’s not just as simple as mental health issues.”
Miller’s sisters also took to social media, hinting at underlying questions regarding her death and urging for justice with the hashtag #JusticeforMica. Sierra Francis, one of Miller’s sisters, emphasized Miller’s positive attributes, refuting any false narratives surrounding her sister’s life.
Adding to the complexity of the situation, court filings revealed that Miller had served her husband with divorce papers just weeks before her untimely death, hinting at possible marital discord.
In an interview, the pastor reiterated that his wife had taken her own life, citing her previous struggles with suicide. Despite this, he fondly recalled their relationship, describing her as “probably the greatest wife anyone could ask for” and reminiscing about their deep conversations.
As the investigation into Miller’s death continues, Major Damien McLean of the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office assured the public that there is currently no indication of a threat to the wider community. However, he promised to release more information in the coming days as the investigation progresses.
As friends, family, and the community grapple with the tragic loss of Mica Miller, unanswered questions linger, fueling a contentious dispute between her pastor husband and her grieving family.
