The Philadelphia 76ers have made a handful of moves at the outset of free agency as they’ve brought in Trendon Watford and Jabari Walker while also bringing back Eric Gordon. The Sixers are focused on versatility, depth, and finding a replacement for Guerschon Yabusele thus far in the offseason.
There is one player who most expect to return and that is Quentin Grimes. The restricted free agent was acquired from the Dallas Mavericks at the deadline and shined in 28 games for the Sixers. He averaged 21.9 points and had games of scoring 44 points and 46 points as he was able to have his offensive game unlocked.
With that being said, one has to wonder what the market is for Grimes right now. The main contenders to steal him from the Sixers–the Detroit Pistons and Brooklyn Nets–have already made their moves. The market for Grimes appears to be between him and the Sixers, but there reportedly isn’t any traction on a deal just yet.
To this point, there has been little to no movement with restricted free agent guard Quentin Grimes and the Philadelphia 76ers, league sources tell myself and @Tjonesonthenba. The two sides are hoping to continue communication in the coming days.

One has to believe the two sides will figure it out and strike a deal. Grimes will be a big help to the Sixers as somebody who can put the ball on the floor, score in isolation, and also convert on catch-and-shoot opportunities. The Sixers will certainly look to bring him back on a deal that works for both sides.
