Golf legend Tiger Woods tried to phone a friend on Friday, March 27, after rolling over his car in Juniper Island, Florida. Woods was ultimately arrested for DUI following the crash.
Woods told authorities he was driving his Range Rover SUV when he looked down at his phone. That caused him not to see a truck in front of him that was slowing down. He clipped the trailer that the truck was towing, and his car rolled over.
The 50-year-old Woods was charged with misdemeanor DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test, but entered a not guilty plea earlier this week.

TMZ Sports has since learned that Woods called President Donald Trump after the accident. He walked away from the scene and was on the phone as bodycam footage captured him saying, “Thank you so much. All right. You got it. Bye.”
He was called back to the scene and revealed he was speaking with the President.
Woods is dating Vanessa Trump, who is the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. and mother of viral University of Miami golfer Kai Trump.
Trump previously commented on Woods’ arrest after the news went public, while speaking to reporters after stepping off Air Force One.

“I feel so bad. He’s got some difficulty — there was an accident, and that’s all I know,” Trump told reporters. “A very close friend of mine, he’s an amazing person, an amazing man. But some difficulty. I don’t want to talk about it.”
