The 2026 Big East Women’s Basketball Tournament Bracket Is Set!

March 2, 2026

If I’m reading my 2025-26 Big East women’s basketball standings correctly, we had to officially wait for UConn to beat St. John’s 85-49 at Madison Square Garden to lock in the completed conference tournament bracket.

That bracket was made official a little bit after 8pm Central time on Sunday, and so now we know the path for all 11 teams at Mohegan Sun Arena next weekend.

At 20-0, UConn is the #1 seed and regular season champion by four games over #2 seed Villanova at 16-4. Seton Hall and Marquette tied for third at 12-8, but the Pirates won both games in their season set to earn the tiebreaker at #3. St. John’s and Creighton tied for fifth at 11-9, but with the Bluejays winning in New York and Nebraska, they get to be the #5 seed and send the Red Storm to play in the first round tripleheader. Georgetown and Butler ended up tied for eighth place at 6-14, and officially, the Hoyas got the tiebreaker for the #8 seed, and I believe it’s their win over Marquette in Milwaukee that made the difference here. It’s a minor difference, as all it means is that the Hoyas get to wear their home whites in their first round game against the Bulldogs instead of the other way around.

That first round tripleheader gets started at 10am Central time on Friday, March 6th. The quarterfinal round will begin at 11am on Saturday, March 7th, and YOUR Marquette Golden Eagles will play Creighton at 1:30pm. Sunday’s semifinals will begin at 1:30pm Central, and Monday’s title game is set for 6pm CT. All 10 games of the tournament will be streamed exclusively on Peacock.
