On Monday night at Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors will get their first chance to see the new-look Los Angeles Clippers.
While Kawhi Leonard remains the centerpiece of Ty Lue’s rotation, James Harden (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Ivica Zubac (Indiana Pacers) were included in blockbuster deals at the 2026 NBA trade deadline. Now, the Clippers’ lineup features Bennedict Mathurin and Darius Garland. Yet, Garland has yet to suit up in his Clippers uniform for the first time as he’s been nursing a toe injury. However, that is set to change on Monday night in San Francisco.
For the first time since being traded from Cleveland to Los Angeles, Garland is slated to make his debut on Monday night, according to NBA reporter Chris Haynes. Haynes reported that Garland is planning to make his highly anticipated Clippers debut against the Warriors.

Garland has played 26 games this season with the Cavs, averaging 18 points on 45.1% shooting from the field and 36% from beyond the arc to go along with 6.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds. Monday will mark the two-time All-Star’s first game since mid-January.
In Garland’s seven-year career, the Vanderbilt product has posted four games with 25 points or more against the Warriors, including a 31-point effort in a loss to Golden State in 2023.
As the Clippers will get some reinforcements with Garland’s debut, the Warriors will be short-handed again on Monday night. Both Steph Curry (knee) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) have been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Clippers. Brandin Podziemski, De’Anthony Melton and Pat Spencer will be tasked with slowing down Garland in his debut.
The Warriors will tip off against the Clippers on Monday night at 7 p.m. PT in San Francisco.
