The Oregon Ducks have just two commits on the defensive side of the ball in the 2027 class to date, but are predicted to soon add another. Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has logged an expert prediction for Oregon to land the commitment of four-star athlete Brayton Feister, who is expected to be a linebacker at the college level after playing all over the field in high school.
Per 247 Sports Composite, Feister is the No. 8 athlete and No. 168 player nationally in his class. He goes to Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, OH, where he’s the fourth-ranked player in the state.
Feister was rocking Oregon gloves while competing at the The Opening Regional on Sunday at the Indianapolis Colts’ practice facility, showing off his love for the program that has been recruiting him hard.
“I like them a lot,” Feister said during the camp to Rivals. “They’re going to be hard to beat.”

The four-star standout continued, raving about the Ducks‘ preparation for the next level and the relationships that he has with the staff.
“They constantly are developing there,” he said. “They always produce NFL talent and the coaching staff is great. The relationships I’ve built with them are amazing!”
Though Feister did note that the in-state Ohio State Buckeyes and Auburn Tigers are also of interest, it’s telling that he wore Oregon gloves and couldn’t wait to share his admiration for the Oregon program.
If he were to commit, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Feister would be the third defensive commit for the Ducks in the 2027 class, joining three-star linebacker Sam Ngata and four-star edge Cameron Pritchett.
