Army troops from the 6 Brigade in Taraba State have arrested a suspected criminal during a joint operation in Shagada Village, Namnai Ward, Gassol Local Government Area.

Security expert Zagazola Makama revealed this on Wednesday through his X handle, saying the operation was carried out on Tuesday following credible intelligence reports.

According to him, the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Abdulmudallabi Audu, was found in possession of an AK-47 rifle, two magazines, and 53 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.

Makama added that the operation was conducted by troops of the 6 Brigade in collaboration with operatives from the Department of Intelligence and Analysis.

The suspect and the recovered items are currently in custody for further investigation. He further noted that the troops returned to base safely around 4:15 p.m.
