2. The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, lowering it from N880 to N840 per litre. The adjustment was confirmed on Monday night by the Group’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina. Chiejina said, “PMS price has been reduced from N880 to N840 per litre effective 30th June.”
3. The final rites for prominent Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, has been postponed till Tuesday. Dantata, who died Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, was billed to be buried in Madina, Saudi Arabia, on Monday.
4. The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, says his administration has recovered 7,000 hectares of land out of the 11,000 hectares originally acquired by the University of Abuja. Wike stated this at the commissioning of the newly constructed access roads in the Giri District of Abuja.
5. Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, says he will be on the ballot for the 2027 presidential contest. Answering questions of his supporters during an X Space session, Obi said he was prepared to spend one term in office if elected.

Angry youths in Lafiagi, headquarters of Edu local government, on Monday stormed the Palace of their monarch, the Emir of Lafiagi, and the office of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA in the town and set them ablaze over unabated Kidnappings in the area. Protesters in a viral video also cited the recent abduction of a young man operating a POS business as further evidence of growing insecurity in the area.
8. President Bola Tinubu is reportedly preparing to reinstate the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Rivers State House of Assembly later this month, following the successful brokering of a truce between Fubara and his predecessor, current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
9. A 23-year-old man, Mr ThankGod Elufo, has stabbed himself to death behind Nwodo Estate in the Ajaji (Bonsaac) Layout area of Asaba, the Delta State capital. It was gathered on Monday that the incident happened on Sunday after the deceased’s elder brother asked him to dress up for an outing.
10. A Pastor of a new generation church and his married lover have been stripped naked at Iguomon Community in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area. Youths of the community were said to have caught the Pastor and the married women making love. In a viral video, the two were seen sitting on the floor.
