November 14, 2025

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has urged the Nigeria Railway Corporation in the state to always share intelligence and other information concerning vandalism of railway tracks.

Elleman stated this during a visit by the new Railway District Manager, North Western District, Engr. Ilesanmi A. Lawrence, and his entourage at the State Police Command Headquarters, Dutsen-Kura, Minna.

The Commissioner of Police noted that, based on the importance of the Railway Corporation, the NPF has a Railway Police Command providing security and other necessary assistance to the Corporation in the state.

He added, “There is a long-existing relationship between us which has been cordial, and we assure you of its sustainability.

“We also want to further assure you of adequate security during any of your official tours in any part of the state.”

Earlier, in his remarks, the District Manager, Engr. Ilesanmi A. Lawrence, said the visit as the new manager was to familiarize himself and foster a better relationship between the Police Command and the Railway Corporation in the state.

He also added that there is a need for synergy between the Police and the Corporation to curb vandalism of railway tracks and other properties of the Corporation in the state.
