Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the appointment of Nurudeen Mu’azu Maifata as the substantive Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, in an official statement.

According to the statement, the appointment takes immediate effect.

Maifata previously served as the institution’s Librarian and has been acting as Rector for over nine months following the exit of his predecessor, Dr. Justina Anjide-Kotso.

His confirmation as substantive Rector comes after months of serving in an acting capacity, during which he was credited with maintaining stability and continuity within the polytechnic.
