Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has said that Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles will get ‘exposed’ in Ralf Rangnick’s new system of football.
A Cristiano Ronaldo’s second half penalty goal was all United needed to edge past Norwich City 1-0 on Saturday.
David De Gea had to make some excellent changes to keep Manchester United in the game.
As United’s attackers struggled to shine, Neville believes their two full-backs will face difficulty when they play against the top sides in the Premier League.
“It wasn’t a good performance,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“Rangnick is still finding out about his players. I do think there will be a problem with this system when they play against a team with good full-backs who have got more quality. Dalot and Telles will basically get exposed.
“Fernandes and Sancho won’t be able to get out in time by the time a Cancelo or a Robertson or an Alexander-Arnold are running down the wing. But they’ve got a few months before they play those types of players.”
