Former Chelsea defender, William Gallas, has predicted Fenerbahce’s Attila Szalai to improve himself at Stamford Bridge once he eventually joins the Blues next year.
Szalai has been heavily linked with a move to join Chelsea.
The Hungarian international could be a backup plan should Antonio Rudiger eventually leave Chelsea at the end of the season.
Speaking on the development, Gallas, a youth coach in Hungary with MTK, backed the 23-year-old to succeed at Thomas Tuchel’s side.
“Szalai is a strong and fast player,” Gallas was quoted by Tribal Football as saying.
“In my opinion, he is the best player in the Hungarian national team. Even Chelsea following him is a very good development.
“He can improve himself even more by going there and playing with defenders around the world.
“Every match is very tough in England. However, I was not afraid of this, and Attila is not afraid either.”
