Former Manchester United star, Gary Neville has said Antonio Conte’s Tottenham will strike fear into their top-four rivals, adding that Spyrs will soon become a “real” team.

Tottenham played out a 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Super Sunday and Neville feels Conte’s side are in the top-four race this season.

Since the Italian manager was appointed, Spurs are yet to lose a match in the Premier League, winning three and drawing two.

They are currently six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with two to three games in hand.

Speaking on his podcast, Neville said, “He’s a great manager, you can see the influence he’s had on this group,” talking about Conte.

“The energy compared to how they were before, the stadium is electric, and it was brilliant in here, all the way through the game.

“You can see him on the touchline. The emotions. He cares passionately and is desperate to win.

“But they’ve shown a performance today that can tell us they can really be competitive and push for the top four.

“It will strike a little bit of fear into Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham, all the others with aspirations to be up there. This Tottenham team are going to be real in the next four to five months.”

Tottenham was on Monday knocked out of the Conference League after UEFA refused to fix a new date to enable some of their players recover from COVID-19.

The decision meant that Rennes are through to the next stage at the expense of Conte’s team.
