Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has named goalkeeper David De Gea as his man of the match as the Red Devils defeated Norwich City 1-0 in a Premier League tie on Saturday night.
Neville believes De Gea deserved the man of the match award for the couple of saves he made during the encounter against Norwich.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s second-half penalty gave Ralf Rangnick’s men all three points against Norwich at Carrow Road.
“They [Man United] have been well below their best here,” Neville said during commentary on Sky Sports. “Norwich have been very unlucky.”
He added, “I am going to give it [the man of the match award] to David De Gea for a couple of saves he’s made that maintained that Man United clean sheet.”
The win against Norwich left Man United in fifth place on the Premier League table.
They will now face Brentford on Tuesday in their next Premier League tie.
