Fulham player, Willian, has predicted the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final tie between Chelsea and Palmeiras.
Chelsea will tackle Palmeiras in the last-8 encounter at Lincoln Financial Fieldon in the United States on Saturday.
The Blues had qualified for the quarter-final following a 4-1 win against Benfica in the Round of 16 stage while Palmeiras defeated Botafogo 1-0.
Providing his prediction, Willian, a former Chelsea player, backed the Blues to beat the Brazilian side and progress to the semi-final.
“I think [the Chelsea vs Palmeiras] will be a hotly contested match,” Willian (via FIFA’s website).
“Of course, depending on how it pans out, such as if there is an early goal, it could become more comfortable for Chelsea, which was the case for Bayern against Flamengo.
“It won’t be an easy game, but I do think Chelsea will get through in the end.”
