The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant in Benue State, Mr Terver Akase, has expressed satisfaction over the steady growth of the entertainment and creative industry in the state, stating that he is truly proud of the established and budding entertainers the state has continued to produce over the years.
He stated his commitment to collaborate with entertainers to harness the potentials in the entertainment sector into economic gains that will further boost the economy, if he succeeds in governing the state.
The PDP 2023 guber hopeful acknowledged that the quality of Benue entertainers can compete favourably even at the international stage, stressing his willingness to always support noble initiatives of more entertainment artistes to reach stardom in their careers.
Mr Akase spoke Sunday (December 26) at the “Made in Benue All White Party” and launch of a 17 tracker musical album titled “Ikonic” hosted by a prominent Benue entertainment artiste, Mr Orduen Ikyon popularly known as Od Woods, held at the Newcastle Events Centre, Makurdi.
He lauded the focus and tenacity shown by Od Woods in his career and urged other up and coming artistes not to be discouraged in pursuing their goals, pointing out that with dedication, breakthrough will surely come.
The guber aspirant paid glowing tributes to other entertainment giants of Benue origin, like Tuface Idibia, Francis Atela, Terry G, Kiddwaya among others, who he expressed delight have continued to place the State on international recognition in the entertainment and creative industry, saying more gifted and talented young people must also be encouraged to rise.
The glamorous event drew an array of celebrated entertainers across the country, who put up electrifying performances that sparkled the boxing day experience of lovers of entertainment and holiday makers, who flocked the venue clad in white attires, amongst them serving government officials, political aspirants and captains of the industry.
