Adamawa ADC Chairman resigns as Fintiri’s Aide

November 13, 2025

The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Adamawa State, Mr Shehu Kambile, has stepped down from his position as Special Assistant to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

Kambile made the announcement in a statement issued on Wednesday in Yola, explaining that his resignation was a strategic move aimed at allowing him to focus entirely on strengthening the ADC as the foremost opposition party in the state.

“My appointment was facilitated through the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IFAC, framework, designed to foster national cohesion.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Gov Fintiri but have to step aside and focus on my primary mandate: building a robust and effective opposition.

“We crave an opposition that can provide a credible alternative for the people,” he said.

Kambile commended former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, for his commitment towards promoting inclusive and democratic engagements within the ADC.

He called on all ADC members to remain united and collaborate in driving the party toward greater success.
