President Bola Tinubu has greenlit the appointment of Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo, his son-in-law, as the fresh Managing Director/CEO of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA). This move comes as part of a broader restructuring within the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, as announced by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
Ojo, previously a member of the House of Representatives and spouse to President Tinubu’s eldest daughter, Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja of Lagos.
Ojo represented Ekiti west, Ijero and Efon federal constituency at the House of Representatives. He brings a wealth of experience from both the housing and hospitality sectors to his new role. Holding a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom, Ojo is poised to lead the FHA with a vision for transformative change.
In a bid to bolster operational efficiency and efficacy across both entities, several executive directors were also appointed. Notable among them are Mr. Mathias Terwase Byuan, Mr. Umar Dankane Abdullahi, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, and Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok, who will assume pivotal roles within FHA, steering various departments to advance the agency’s mandate.
