The Enugu chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday trooped out en masse to participate in the party’s presidential primary election.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as the sole aspirant in the exercise conducted across the state.
As of the time of filing this report, the primary was ongoing in different wards across the state.
Enugu State has 260 wards and the primary election was expected to take place in all the wards.
Although the official results of the exercise had yet to be announced, our correspondent who monitored the process in some wards observed that the exercise was peaceful and orderly.
Some APC members who participated in the exercise described the process as transparent and hitch-free.
A member of the APC who participated in the primary, Mr. Ignatius Uwakwe, described the exercise as peaceful and commended party officials for the orderly conduct of the process.

Ward 8, party members commended the president over the reforms embarked upon by his administration and expressed optimism that the policies would soon yield positive results.
Meanwhile, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Enugu State, Uche Obute, described the exercise as fair, peaceful and successful across the state.
