ADC Inaugurates Coordinating Team In Niger, Vows To Wrest Power From APC

March 10, 2026

African Democratic Congress (ADC) has inaugurated its coordinating team to ensure smooth  registration and revalidation of the party members in Niger State.

The party’s national treasurer, Dr Ibrahim Ahmed Mani, who conducted the inauguration in Minna, at the weekend,  said he was encouraged by the ongoing registration of its members signalling  the acceptance of the party as the only alternative to the ruling APC in the state.

He said the party would  take over government in Niger State  because the people desire competency, consistency  and fight against poverty, insecurity, hopelessness and  untold hardship.

Mani claimed  that the electorates are disappointed with the APC because of its inability to meet their expectations and are  yearning for a positive change of leadership through their voting rights.

According to him, ADC would give the people voice, hold government accountable and bring the desired change in the state and Nigeria.

The ADC stalwart expressed confidence that the party will take over power in Niger State come 2027 elections because the electorates are not satisfied with the APC government, calling on the people to register with the ADC while assuring that their vote will surely count in the election.

He stated that the party will not accept the new electoral Act passed by the National Assembly due to the controversies surrounding it’s content, adding that the defection of governors to the ruling APC were borne out of the party’s desperation .

The leader of the ADC Coordinating Team in Niger State, Alhaji Umar Shuaibu who was a foundation member of the APC expressed disappointment with the current ruling party in the country,  promising to mobilize massively for the registration and revalidation of ADC members in the state.

He reassured rancour-free party congresses at all levels using his political experience over the years in the opposition, noting that they have capable hands who are not pushovers.
