Supporters of Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami under the aegis of the Pantamiyya Movement Brothers have declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group, led by grassroots mobiliser Sanusi Hamisu Usman, popularly known as Ameer Sanusin-Gombe, said the endorsement followed consultations across its structure, which it claimed has more than 100 coordinators spread across all wards in the 11 local government areas of the state.
According to the movement, its decision to align with Gwamna was driven by his rising acceptability within the APC and among grassroots stakeholders across Gombe State.
Speaking during a solidarity visit to the APC governorship candidate, Ameer Sanusin-Gombe said the move was strategic and aimed at strengthening party cohesion ahead of the 2027 elections.
“We are here to demonstrate our solidarity and commitment to the project of ensuring APC remains united and victorious in 2027. Dr. Gwamna has shown humility, experience, and the capacity to carry everyone along,” he said.
He added that the group was backing what he described as “the emergence of a worthy successor” capable of consolidating the achievements of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Sanusin-Gombe also appealed to former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, and other aspirants in the APC governorship race, to close ranks with Gwamna in the interest of party unity and development in the state.
He stressed that unity among stakeholders remained critical to securing electoral victory for the APC in both the governorship and presidential elections in 2027.
Responding, Gwamna expressed appreciation for the endorsement, describing it as a demonstration of political maturity and commitment to the future of the party in Gombe State.
He assured party members of an inclusive leadership approach that would accommodate all interests and tendencies within the APC.
Gwamna also called on former contestants and stakeholders to put aside differences arising from the primaries and work collectively to sustain the developmental strides recorded under Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s administration.
He reaffirmed his commitment to mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections, insisting that unity and collective purpose remain the party’s greatest strength in Gombe State.
