Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL tight end Travis Kelce are officially engaged, marking a milestone moment in their high-profile romance.
Swift, 35, announced the news on Tuesday, August 26, via Instagram, posting photos of Kelce, also 35, down on one knee in a garden surrounded by flowers. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift captioned the post.
The proposal photos show the couple beaming with joy, with Swift flaunting her engagement ring — an old mine brilliant cut designed by Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry. Other images captured intimate moments of the pair gazing into each other’s eyes and celebrating their engagement.
Kelce’s pursuit of Swift first captured headlines in July 2023, when he famously attempted to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, Missouri. Although he didn’t get the chance to meet her then, the gesture caught Swift’s attention.
The two eventually connected, and by September 2023, Swift publicly supported Kelce by attending one of his Kansas City Chiefs games. Their relationship quickly blossomed, with Swift becoming a regular at Chiefs games and Kelce traveling internationally to support her Eras Tour performances, including a memorable trip to Argentina in November 2023.
