This Monday 10th March, the crowned head of England, Charles III, took advantage of Commonwealth Day to announce the launch of his podcast “The King’s Music Room”, recorded at Buckingham Palace.
That’s it, the musical favourites of Charles III can now be found on Apple Music. Kylie Minogue, RAYE, Beyoncé…, but also Bob Marley, Diana Ross and Grace Jones: the playlist of the King of the United Kingdom is characterised by its great eclecticism.
In “The King’s Music Room”, we find out, in particular, that the British sovereign is particularly a fan of Beyoncé (Queen B) who, according to him, is “incomparable”. Charles III also takes advantage of the podcast to congratulate the singer on her recent victory at the Grammy Awards, indicates RTBF. It should be noted that several events have already brought the two personalities together, including concerts organised for the King’s Trust (a charitable association that helps young people in difficulty).
“Throughout my life, music has been greatly important to me. I know it’s the same for many others. It has this remarkable ability to bring back happy memories from deep within our memory, to comfort us in times of sadness, and to take us to distant lands,” says Charles III. And he adds: “But perhaps above all, it can lift our spirits to such an extent, and all the more so because it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy.”
