Freight operations has reportedly commenced on the Lagos-Kano rail line few weeks after the Minister of Transportation, Senator Sa’id Alkali, visited Kano State for an on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing project, The Zawaciki Dala Dry Port which was linked to the Lagos State axis.

The Minister had said, a trial run moving import containers from Apapa Port in Lagos to Dala Inland Dry Port in Kano had been conducted  days ago before his visit.

Videos included were reportedly taken at the Dala Inland Dry Port in Kano State.

This project was designed to decongest the Lagos end of the ports.
