Once again, Chelsea need to add a new attacker this summer.
After getting rid of Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke last summer, they rolled the dice again with Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens. It’s fair to say neither of them worked out – and we’re certain an attempt will be made to find a ready made wing option this summer.
One name we’ve been linked to a lot is Said El Mala – but if we want him, we’ll have to move fast. Top German transfer insider Florian Plettenberg has just revealed that Brentford have had a bid accepted for the Koln winger.
Plettenberg has said that a €45m offer is in, with the German side holding out for €50m. It doesn’t sound like it will take long for them to find an agreement, so Chelsea have to move fast if they’re sure they want to hijack this one.
If they don’t get in the race, we can only assume they’ve got other targets in mind.
Chelsea have been chasing Morgan Rogers for some time – but it doesn’t look like they’ll be able to land him.
